What Clients Say

“Luke provided some great tools and resources to help me reframe my perspective on motivation and discipline.”

Calm Is Built, Not Forced

You're good under pressure. Deadlines, hard calls, a full calendar: you handle it. The problem is that stress doesn't clock out when you do. It follows you home, eats the evening and shows up again at 3am.

Pushing harder rarely lowers stress. What helps is giving your nervous system regular chances to reset: a clear end to the workday, movement, sleep that comes at the same time, and time with people who make you feel like yourself.

When those anchors are missing, small problems feel big. Stress management coaching helps you put them back, one at a time.

What Stress Management Coaching Includes

This is Personalized Health Coaching, started from the stress that drains you: a 16-week stress management program inside the one program, not a separate service.

  • A look at when stress builds in your day and what makes it worse
  • A short daily reset you will actually do, like a walk between meetings
  • An end-of-workday routine so work stops following you home
  • Exercise planned by a Doctor of Physical Therapy
  • Sleep habits that make the next day easier
  • Someone to message when a week goes sideways, plus a weekly check-in and a 1-on-1 every month

Coaching Is Not Therapy

Stress management coaching is about habits and routines. It's forward-looking and practical, and that includes how you unwind: if a drink, a vape or hours of scrolling has become the only off switch, we build something that does the job better. It does not diagnose or treat anxiety, depression or any mental health condition, and it does not replace a therapist.

If low mood, anxiety or exhaustion has lasted two weeks or more, or feels severe, talk to your doctor or a licensed therapist first. Coaching can work alongside that care. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US).

Why Movement Is Part of the Plan

Regular, moderate exercise is one of the most reliable ways to lower stress over time. As Doctors of Physical Therapy, Dr. Luke Alley and Dr. Tony Chan plan movement that fits the energy you have now, so it adds calm instead of another thing to fail at. It's why our stress reduction coaching always includes a movement plan.

Signs Stress Is Running Your Routine

Stress often shows up in habits before you notice it in your head. These patterns come up again and again with busy men:

  • You check email in bed, morning and night
  • Workouts are the first thing cut in a busy week
  • Lunch happens at your desk, if at all
  • You feel wired at 11pm and exhausted at 3pm
  • Weekends go to recovering rather than living
  • Small problems feel bigger than they should

A Few Resets Clients Start With

Most people start with one reset small enough to do on their worst day. A 10-minute walk outside after lunch. Closing the laptop and changing clothes at the end of work. Writing tomorrow's top three tasks before bed so they stop circling at midnight.

None of these is new advice. The difference is choosing one, fitting it into your real day, and having someone notice whether it happened. That is what a stress coach adds. Once it is automatic, the next one goes on top. More ideas in our stress management guide for men.

Who It Is For

Hardworking men who feel wired at night and tired by day, carry work home, and would rather have a practical plan than talk in circles or download another app. If stress has tipped into burnout, see burnout coaching, which uses the same program.

“I generally have more energy now to deal with things, whether it's hanging out at home with the family or going out.”

Common Questions

Something else on your mind? Email us.

What does a stress management coach do?

A stress management coach helps you spot what drives your stress and build daily habits that lower it, like movement, sleep routines and a clear end to the workday, then keeps you accountable.

Is this the same as therapy?

No. Coaching works on habits and routines and does not treat mental health conditions. Many people see a therapist and a coach at the same time.

How is this different from burnout coaching?

Both use Personalized Health Coaching, the same 16-week program. Burnout coaching starts from exhaustion and energy; stress management coaching starts from day-to-day stress before it builds that far.

Do I have to meditate?

No. Some people like it, but the plan uses whatever resets work for you, from walks to a shutdown routine after work.

What are the 5 C's of stress management?

There is more than one version. A common one, from UCLA's STAND program, is: stay connected, control what you can, stay calm, cut down on the news, and care for others. Most of them come down to daily habits, which is where coaching starts: one small change you can keep, like a walk with a friend after work or a phone-free first hour of the morning.

How do I stop stressing as a man?

Stress never switches off for good, so the aim is smaller spikes and quicker recovery. For most busy men that means a set time when work stops, regular training, going to bed at the same time and fewer quick fixes like an extra drink or late-night scrolling. Pick one, make it automatic, then add the next. The stress buster that works is the one you're still doing a month from now.

How much does it cost?

Stress management coaching is part of Personalized Health Coaching. We walk you through pricing on the free Clarity Call.

What if I need more help than coaching?

We will tell you, and point you to your doctor or a licensed therapist. In a crisis, call or text 988.
